Both the fisher-price laugh ‘n learn jumperoo and the fisher-price precious planet jumperoo were at the store. At first I looked at the precious planet one since that seems to be the most popular. But I was dissappointed that the palm leaves hung down so far. Also, it didn’t have a mirror or the little book that the laugh ‘n learn barnyard animal one did. Both are jumpers which I know any kid would love. However, I really like the laugh ‘n learn because it had more activities.

I purchased this after reading lots of great reviews on it. I think it’s really cute & my little boy seems to really like it so far. He’s 4.5 mos so he’s still got a bit of growing into it to do but I’m sure in a few months he’ll be playing with all the toys on it. He loves the sounds & music. The only thing I was disappointed with is that the seat doesn’t spin easier. It’s really hard to move & I think even when he’s older & able to move more it’s not going to spin very easily for him. I have a hard time myself trying to get the seat to move & spin. It just doesn’t move smoothly or easily at all so I’m not sure how well he’ll be able to play with all the toys around it. Right now I just put him in one spot & then I have to turn him myself so he gets a new view of the other toys. I also wish the leaves clicked into place more securely. It’s only a problem for me b/c my 3.5 year old keeps taking them out just b/c he can. They just sort of go in the hole & don’t have anything to keep them in there like all the other parts do. Not sure why they’re like that.
It really is cute though & I’m sure my baby will get a lot of enjoyment out of it.

And now that she’s 6 months old, she’s been so entertained in this jumperoo. She’s learned how to swivel around completely and once she becomes bored with one toy, she’ll switch to another and so on. It has also made her legs a lot stronger and she stands (while supported of course) and puts all her weight on her legs very well. Highly recommend this product! Now I’m able to do lots of things in the kitchen without her freaking out.

Easy to put together, solid construction, adjustable height, but lowest setting keeps baby’s feet off the ground. Also, seat is very small around – 50th percentile baby just fits in the seat with no extra room- makes it hard to get the baby in and out. Also hanging toys are hung so high that the baby could never touch them – it frustrates the baby. Too highly priced as well compared to exersaucer, which is much more elaborate.Fisher-Price Rainforest Jumperoo

My youngest son who was born at the end of 2008 used this from 4 months to around 7 months old. He loved it and was very happy to use it until he learned how to crawl. The only thing I didn’t like were the little bird and banana leaf things that hung over because he would bend them and then suck on them and I found it gross since they were like stuffed animals and got all full of his spit and couldn’t be easily cleaned. It looks like they might have improved this already though with a toy bar instead. I think that would have been better. Overall, this is a nice jumperoo and is somewhat portable.
