Has anybody else notices that this piece of junk cannot scan wirelessly? It does not support third party software such as Arobat or Photoshop, yet it’s billed as a premiere photo/office all-in-one machine. To scan from this Edsel of a machine you walk into the room where it is and hit the scan button manually and live with what it gives you and where it gives it to you. Machines costing HALF what this one does can do what I just described. Mine went back the day after I bought it.

THIS WAS MY FIRST EPSON. ALWAYS HAD HP’S BEFORE BUT WENT BY REVIEWS IN CONSUMER REPORTS AND OTHER WEB SITES AND BOUGHT THIS ARTISAN 810. FAXES WERE NOT LEGIBLE UPON RECEIPT FROM DAY ONE. LOUD NOISES WHEN PRINTING. VERY FLIMSY PLASTIC, THOUGHT THE PAPER TRAY WOULD SPLIT EVERY TIME I PUT IT IN OR TOOK IT OUT. FINALLY AFTER ONLY 20 DAYS, JUST DIED. EPSON WILL NOT REFUND ANY MONEY ALTHOUGH EXTRA 2 YEAR WARRANTY WAS PURCHASED. BAD DECISION ON MY PART, INCORRECT REVIEWS, AND BAD POLICIES BY EPSON.I DID NOT BUY ON AMAZON. I haven’t yet opened the inner carton of my Epson printer.
The outer carton arrived partially crushed and partly open.
There was over a foot of empty space in the carton, with no
packing material. The carton should have been cut down
before packing. The printer ( in it’s own box ) had more
than a foot to slide around in the outer carton.
I hope the printer is OK. The packing job could hardly have been worse.

I’m considering returning this lemon. Epson’s print drivers for this beast don’t follow the standard Mac conventions.
Printing on CD/DVD is an advertised feature. Bundled CD printing software is lame! There seems to be no documentation for how to select the CD tray output from any of the non-Epson great CD printing applications. CDs don’t show up as an option under Page Setup. And they do show up under the Print/Print Settings/Media Type pull down menu, they are grayed out and not selectable.
First tech support guy said using anything but Epson software was unsupported. (Imagine if printing to paper were unsupported, unless you used some lame Epson provided word processor.) Nearly returned it then. (And I should have.)
Second tech support guy was able to tell me how to do it. If you have the US model, this isn’t remotely obvious.
The printer claims to support double-sided printing, yet if you look in the standard Mac layout menu, where you are supposed to enable “Two-Sided” printing, the option can’t be selected.
Don’t try this unit with three hole-punched paper. When we did, it wouldn’t print more than a small band across the page. No error, it just left 80-90% of the page blank.
Epson products are bad for the environment. Too many throw items. All those expensive ink cartridges with only a few drops of ink. Then the whole printer becomes a throw away when the waste ink receptacle gets full.
This unit can be quick and it can produce great looking output. But, after just a couple of weeks, I’ve gotten more error messages than prints. This may be a great printer for Windows PC users, but Mac users should run, not walk away from this printer.

Unhappy with purchase and Epson support. Sent unit back. It cost me $46.55 in UPS charges and an additional 29.85 in refund request charges. That’s a total of 76.40 down the drain. Won’t order again. PS: Saw the same unit here locally at Staples for under $200 including sales tax.
